Consultation fees
This pricing system attempts to fairly balance access to herbal medicine for those who need it, with the time and money required for a herbalist to become fully trained, and their need to earn a living.
Pricing for appointments is determined by the length of time you wish to spend with a herbalist, the more you have to discuss the longer appointment you will require.
- £20 – fifteen minute chat for advice, or over the counter product suggestions. No follow up letter.
- £60 – thirty minutes consultation time, plus fifteen minutes prescription writing/letter/notes writing time (total of 45 minutes).
- £120 – 45-60 minute consultation time, plus 30 minutes prescription/notes writing time (total of 90 minutes).
Please note that appointment times will be strictly adhered to.
Medicine Prices
Following prescription formulation pricing of treatment will be discussed, and payment taken prior to dispensing of any prescriptions.
There is no obligation to purchase herbal medicines; recommended herbs, dietary and lifestyle will be provided regardless of whether a prescription is dispensed.
- Tinctures – £11 per 100ml (four week prescription is usually 400-420ml)
- Dried herbs – Start at £5.00 per 100g (expensive herbs subject to surcharge)
- Creams – Start at £5.00 per 100g
- Capsules – Start at £5.00 for thirty
- Pessaries/suppositories – Various dependent on formulation
Should you require a repeat prescription without an additional consultation, there is a £5.00 surcharge payable, in addition to the cost of the medicine (this covers the cost of time spent dispensing).
